Cini 0009 Full-emailLisa M. Cini is the founder, president and CEO of Mosaic Design Studio. Mosaic is an award winning global commercial design, project management and procurement company that has achieved over 149% averaged growth rate over the past three years.

Mosaic's mission is to "improve quality of life by design"; Mosaic has walked out this mission in projects ranging from the National Hockey League, The United States Air Force & Navy, Brio Bravo Development Group (third most profitable polished casual segment restaurant chain in the nation), country clubs, hotels, hospitals and senior living. She is known for taking the complex and making it simple and repeatable.

In addition to Lisa's many talents, her creativity and business savvy have captured awards spanning multiple industries. She has also been published in well over a dozen articles and books including "Cottage" by Taunton Press. Some highlights are: "20 Most Remarkable Women" as awarded by Business First, NAWBO a Visionary Award, regional finalist by Working Womans magazine as a "Best Employer" and Working Women magazine Entrepreneurial Excellence Award, and received the Governor's Award - Women's Excellence in Enterprise - Rising Star. Lisa is regarded as the leading Alzheimer's and long-term care design expert in the nation and has received many design awards for her projects throughout the years. Lisa gives back to the community through various means, by working on the Governing Board of Athena Power link, Board of Trade Justice Mission, Trustees of CIDLO, Kids 'N Kamp, Soccer Goal Setting & Team Building and with IIDA Student Mentoring. Lisa's deep devotion to family, friends and business associates and her strong spiritual beliefs are the lifeblood of Mosaic's success. She believes that we are all here to add value to this world using our God-given talents and treasures.

Among Lisa's many talents, her creativity and business savvy has captured awards spanning multiple industries. Lisa has been the recipient of numerous business and design awards, in addition to being recognized in well over a dozen published articles featuring both Mosaic and herself. Most recently, Mosaic was awarded first place for the ASID Cornelius Hubbard Design Award in the Single Space Commercial Category in 2007 and the Top Small Business of 2007 by Diversity Business.

Lisa is also a member of the Top Forty Under Forty Class of 2004 as designated by Columbus Business First and is one of the "20 Most Remarkable Women" as awarded by Business First in 2003. In 2002, the National Association of Women Business Owners honored Lisa with the Visionary Award and directly prior to that, Mosaic was recognized as a regional finalist by Working Woman's Magazine as a "Best Employer."

Lisa also received Working Women Magazine Entrepreneurial Excellence Award in 2001 and was named a finalist in the Enterprising Women Magazine Enterprising Women of the Year Awards. In 2000, Lisa received the Governor's Award Women's Excellence in Enterprise- Rising Star Category. She earned the Assisted Living Federation of American's "Best Home, Alzheimer's Center" in 1998 and in 1997 she was awarded Honorable Mention for the "Best of Home Design Competitor."

Lisa has been published in various local and national newspapers and magazines. Lisa authored "Designing Around Dirt" featuring in The Academy Advocate 2007, "Warning, Warning, Will Robinson! How Japan is using Robotics to care for their senior population" featured in The Academy Advocate 2006, "Repositioning Aged Assets: "Extreme Makeover" featured in the Ohio Academy of Nursing Homes April 2006, "Flooring Factors; Various Options Can Help You Select a Floor to Meet Your Needs" featured in Advance for Providers of Post-Acute Care's September/October issue in 2004 and "It Takes a Village" featured in Assisted Living Today's May 2002 issue; volume 9 number 4. She also wrote "Didn't Your Mom Ever Tell You 'Don't Argue About Color" for the Ohio Assisted Living Association.

Lisa gives back to the community through various means, some of which are: MDA-Lock-up, Gospel Meets Symphony, Kids 'N Kamp, and IIDA Student Mentoring. Her interest in giving back is shown by her vast involvement in business and industry organizations.

Lisa's deep devotion to family, friends and business associates and her strong spiritual beliefs are the life-blood of Mosaic's success. Her ability to gracefully balance the demands of every day business while being a wife and mother of two inspires those who know her to be and do better.
